In 2005, a British student sold a million pixels for a million dollars and accidentally invented an internet artifact. 1 Million America revives the format as a civic monument for the country's 250th birthday — replacing the original's anything-goes chaos with a curated, patriotic mosaic.
The official Semiquincentennial gets parades, fireworks, and federal commissions. 1 Million America is the citizen-built counterpart — a single shared canvas where 10,000 Americans plant their flag side by side.
The first 100 plots come with permanent inscription on the Founders' Constitution: a numbered badge (№001–№100), a shimmering gold border on the grid, and an entry in the public registry. A one-time honor before the seats fill.
Plots are tiered by location — premier center grid, mid-ring promenade, outer commons — keeping the canvas accessible to every citizen, not just brands with budgets.
